# Skylight Installation Toronto: Terms of Service for Quotes, Installations, Repairs & Website Use

These terms apply to your use of this website and to services provided by Skylight Installation Toronto. By using the website or booking our services, you agree to these terms. Your written quote and any signed work agreement take priority if they differ from these terms.

## 1\. Our Services

Skylight Installation Toronto provides skylight services across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including:

## 2\. Quotes and Pricing

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Prices published on this website are typical ranges, not quotes. Your written quote itemizes the unit, install labour, permit, flashing and disposal and is based on our on-site assessment. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Applicable taxes (HST) are added.

If we find hidden conditions during the work, such as rotted framing, damaged sheathing or wiring in the way, we will stop, show you what we found and price any extra work before continuing.

## 3\. Permits

Where a building, heritage or electrical (ESA) permit is required, we coordinate it on your behalf. Permit fees are passed through at cost as a separate line on your quote. Permit timing depends on the municipality.

## 4\. Scheduling, Weather and Cancellations

Roof work depends on safe weather. We may reschedule for rain, ice, high winds or extreme cold, and we will contact you as early as possible. Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel. Custom-ordered units, glass and materials may not be returnable, and their cost may be charged if you cancel after ordering.

## 5\. Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit, are stated on your quote. We accept cash, credit card, debit, e-Transfer and cheque. Manufacturer warranty registration is completed once payment is received in full.

## 6\. Warranty

We provide a lifetime leak-free warranty on install flashing for new installations and replacements we perform, subject to the terms in your warranty document. Repair work carries the written workmanship warranty stated on your invoice. Manufacturer product warranties (Velux 10/20 years, Fakro 10 years, with shorter terms on motors, electronics and blinds) are provided by the manufacturer and passed through to you.

Warranties do not cover damage from storms, falling objects, ice damming caused by attic conditions outside our scope, alterations by others, or lack of reasonable maintenance.

## 7\. Emergency Service

Emergency callouts provide temporary protection such as tarping, board-up or a temporary seal. Emergency rates are quoted by phone before dispatch. Permanent repairs are quoted separately.

## 8\. Access and Site Conditions

You agree to give our crew safe access to the roof, attic and work area, and to tell us about known hazards. We protect floors and furnishings and clean up daily, but please move valuables and fragile items away from the work area.

## 9\. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Skylight Installation Toronto is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim. We carry commercial general liability insurance, and certificates are available on request.

## 10\. Website Content

Content on this website, including text, graphics and images, belongs to Skylight Installation Toronto or is used with permission. Velux and Fakro are trademarks of their respective owners. Information on this site is general guidance, not professional engineering advice for your specific building.

## 11\. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply.
